This 1980s detached home in Bournemouth has been transformed with a modern ground floor rear extension, seamlessly connecting the house to its garden. The design features expansive glazing and a striking roof lantern, flooding the space with natural light, creating a bright, open atmosphere. Sliding doors and a corner post detail – a key design feature, offers panoramic garden views and full access to the outside space.
The contemporary orangery-style extension provides a suitable connection between the existing house and established garden. Red-facing brick was carefully selected to complement the existing house, and a grey overhang complements the aesthetic.
The front porch at the front was also redesigned to create a more aesthetic and useable space and improve the building fabric at the front. The thoughtfully designed extension has not only transformed the living space but also elevated the overall character of the house.
